H.I.S. does, however, through its attorney network, provide a service made exclusively to members of H.I.S. nonprofit partner, Home Advocates Union ("HAU"), by soliciting and training attorneys, and negotiating fee arrangements with said attorneys to representative members of HAU.

While H.I.S. and its affiliate partners stand against unfair, deceptive, and unconscionable practices of mortgage servicers as well documented by Federal and State Authorities, we will never recommend nor will we instruct a homeowner to stop paying their mortgage. We recommend that after purchasing and reading your COTA report, the homeowner should: (1) contact and share said report with attorneys, preferably lawyers who understand and/or specializes in Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and consumer rights; and (2) refer the attorneys and/or lawyers back to H.I.S.
